Gaby Bezem - Taste of Amsterdam

Chef Gaby Bezem (48 years old) is recently running the kitchen of Restaurant Blauw Amsterdam. However, Gaby did not always work in the kitchen.

His career started in electronics, after which he studied for heating and cooling technology. He liked to cook, however, and especially Asian (Gaby makes delicious dim sum!). At the age of 30, Gaby changed course and turned his hobby into his job. He attended cooking school at the ROC in Heerhugowaard. During his education, Gaby has worked at several Michelin-star restaurants, including De Librije. In 2017, Gaby started working at restaurant Blauw Amsterdam; back to his Indonesian roots! It is his goal to achieve a BIB Gourmand recognition in 2019.
Gaby himself is very fond of lamb and he therefore prefers the Gulai Domba, the spicy lamb stew. A dish to dream of…
