Owner & chef Michiel van der Eerde – BAUT, Restaurant C and ZUID
After 12 years of being responsible for the hospitality concepts of IQ Creative (Envy, Nevy, Supperclub, Mazzo and Nomads), Michiel opened up his first restaurant. In October 2012, pop-up restaurant BAUT opened its doors for the first time. The success of BAUT ensured the opening of several editions and Michiel’s big dream; Restaurant C. A high-end restaurant built around various temperature zones. Meanwhile Michiel opened up his third restaurant; ZUID. A luxury neighbourhood restaurant in the South of Amsterdam, near the Olympic Stadium.
BAUT has now arrived at its 6th edition. This time, the historic Magdelena Chapel in the Spaarndammerstraat is home to BAUT. A mix of fine dining, music, culture and art in an absurd but warm interior is how BAUT can best be described.
Michiel has been voted Most Distinguished Hospitality Entrepreneur 2016/2017 by colleagues.
