Chef & owner Nick Schouten - Restaurant-Café In de Waag
Nick has gained years of experience and all the tips and tricks from working in several great restaurants and hotels including Vinkeles*, De Zwetheul** and The College Hotel, Amsterdam.
Through his creations you can see and taste the passion he has for his work. Classical French dishes with a Dutch touch fit perfectly in the character of the Old City gate of Amsterdam, Nieuwmarkt where Restaurant-Cafe in de Waag resides. The restaurant is lit by nearly 300 candles and has been established for 22 years.
In 2015, Nick started his career in Restaurant- Cafe In de Waag and has since become co-owner together with general manager Priscilla.
This year Restaurant- Cafe In de Waag has teamed up with Gulpener to deliver the most delicious dishes in perfect combination with Gulpener Beer.
